Role Summary:
Qualification and Skills for Digital Marketing Officer
- Educational Requirements: B.Sc./HND in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business, or any related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years proven experience in digital marketing, online campaign management, or performance marketing.
- Demonstrated track record managing social media ads, Google Ads, or similar paid advertising campaigns.
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools, analytics dashboards, and marketing funnels.
Solid understanding of SEO, SEM, and evolving digital trends.
Core Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to develop and execute effective digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, traffic, and conversions.
- Strong experience running paid ads (Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) including audience targeting, budgeting, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
- Competence in website management and updates working with developers or using CMS tools (e.g., WordPress) to keep pages optimized for traffic and SEO.
- Experience planning and executing email marketing campaigns, building mailing lists, designing mailers, scheduling sends, and tracking open rates and conversions.
- Understanding of lead generation funnels, designing landing pages, setting up lead capture forms, and nurturing prospects through CRM tools.
- Solid SEO/SEM skills like keyword research, on-page optimization, backlink strategies, and improving search rankings.
- Strong data analysis skills, using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and ad managers to generate performance reports and actionable insights.
- Ability to work with designers and content teams to create ad creatives and landing page assets that convert.
Bonus Skills:
- Basic design skills for simple ad creatives (Canva, Adobe tools).
- Experience with video ads, boosting, or YouTube promotion.
- Certifications in paid advertising (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Blueprint).
- Knowledge of retargeting strategies and pixel setup.
